Women-Owned Small Business Entrepreneur Series // Dawn Wertman of Pure Haven

Welcome to a new series on Busy Bee Kate featuring fellow women entrepreneurs.

When I took the leap and started my first business, Vintage Vinyl Journals, I found it really important to connect to other women in business, and as a small business owner I met so many wonderful and supportive people along the way.  I was grateful to learn from others and build a strong network of female colleagues.

I would like to now continue this connecting and networking on the blog and to virtually create a space for like-minded women.  A place for women in business to share their experiences, where we can learn from, discover new products and services, get encouragement, and support each other.

The first feature is with Dawn Wertman of Pure Haven, and before we jump into the interview I want to share the story of how Dawn and I met.  Dawn and I both lived on the East Coast (Philadelphia area) for all of our lives.  Dawn and I never met even though I used to work in the same town where she lived. (As far as we know) our paths never crossed until about 3 years ago in California.

Dawn and her family relocated to the West Coast about the same time my family did.  We both have a daughter around the same age and we made a mutual friend, and, the rest is just history!

Without further ado welcome to the first interview of the “Women-Owned Small Business Entrepreneur” Series and our first feature, Dawn Wertman of Pure Haven.  I hope you enjoy this interview and her passion for helping others shines through.  Dawn always has a smile on her face and has great goals for her business in the next 3 to 5 years.  You can find out more about Dawn and Pure Haven on her website and business facebook page.
