Sunflower {or any non-nut} Seed Butter Magic Shell | SunButter Contest Entry

I recently saw SunButter was having a snack contest where you submit your favorite snack with SunButter {on Instagram} and you have a chance to win a case of SunButter which would surely go quickly in our home, we love SunButter!

I decided to do a quick post to share this amazingly simple and delicious recipe for Magic Shell using SunButter {or any non-nut} Seed Butter.   I loved Magic Shell when I was a kid and my daughter has never had it due to her food allergies plus it’s not loaded with the best ingredients.  After I made this easy version my daughter said “Mom this is good, let’s make this again!”

Because I was also focused on the photo {part of the contest is photo quality,} I prepared three bowls of ice cream, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, one for each of us to enjoy!

BusyBeeKate-SunflowerSeedMagicShell3The magic shell was really easy to make and I felt like a kid as I was checking it to assure that it hardened just like I used to remember.

And seeing this contest gave me the perfect excuse to break out my vintage ice cream dishes ~ aren’t they just adorable?!

The SunButter Snack contest is being judged on (i) Creativity of snack item(s) and (ii) Photo Quality on Instagram and I wanted to share the recipe here just in case you wanted to try this in your food allergy family, we’ll definitely be making it again in ours.  If you are on Instagram check out my photo in my feed { my Instagram is here } and give it a like!

And if you are interested in participating in the SunButter Snack contest check out more info about it here.

I’ll keep this post short… this stuff is good and I am kicking myself for not making it sooner!
