If you’re new here you may not know about the local food allergy support group (Food Allergy Families of Montgomery and Bucks,) that I started with another local Mom over the summer. We are excited that our group is expanding, growing, and we are helping to foster connections in the food allergy community and also educating others about food allergies.
This holiday season we decided to give back to a local food allergy family, and while narrowing down those details another family stepped forward and is also in need, so we have adopted two local food allergy families!
My heart and time has been spent on this project this past week… mostly in contacting many companies to see if they could help send along some safe food allergy friendly products for the cause, liaising with group members, working on flyers, etc.
I am really happy with the response and see so many companies come forward to help support our efforts as well as some of our group members who are helping to “play” Santa this year for these families.
And I cannot wait to highlight and share some of these amazing companies with my readers next week – these are companies that have answered our call and helping others in their time of need.
There are many ways that we have members in our group helping including purchasing a new toy from a child’s wish list, purchasing food from their trusted brands, and giving gift cards to a supermarket or a toy store.
We feel honored to be helping two very special families this holiday season. I find that I am ever more thankful this time of the year and I love to spread holiday cheer and help to make the families’ holidays a bit brighter this season.
