Cut holiday stress AND you may win a free organic turkey from Whole Foods Market + Giveaway for ONE free Organic Turkey & Brine Kit!

Our friends over at our local Whole Foods Market North Wales store make shopping a little less stressful for our food allergy family.  With Whole Foods Market as one of our go-to grocery stores, we love their selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and their speciality allergy foods selection is amazing.

Whenever there is something hard-to-find I know I can find it there or ask them to order for me which is such a great service they offer.  They can also help cut down on your holiday stress and make the holidays a little easier for you and your family by offering great meals and services.

The employees are so knowledgable and I’m excited to partner with them on by highlighting these wonderful services and also offering an awesome giveaway below to my readers!   {Hint, hint.}  Gobble. Gobble.

Your local Whole Foods Market (here’s mine!) is here to make your holidays easier, and what better way than with a free turkey?!?

You can reserve your turkey, order a complete holiday meal or any part of your Thanksgiving meal (entrées, sides, desserts, party platters, appetizers, and more) and then pick everything up at your local Whole Foods Market.

You can order either in-store or online (be sure to select North Wales, PA for pick-up if you’re local!)  You can do it all. But you don’t have to which is a great option!

My local store is also having a great promotion… they are giving away one organic turkey each week between now and Thanksgiving!  Just place your order before Sunday at 11:59pm and you’ll be entered into their weekly drawing for a chance to win a free organic turkey.

Check out the various options of fresh turkeys you can order from Whole Foods (both in-store or online.)  From Free Range to Organic to Kosher, they have you covered!

This will be our second Thanksgiving as a family of three and I’m excited that I got a start on my cooking and baking this week.  We’ll be attending Thanksgiving at my parents, but with our food allergies we’ll be bringing all of our own food.  It isn’t too hard for us since we live very close to them (um, next door, cannot get much closer.)

Here’s a sample of what’s on our menu this year:

– Double Chocolate Chip Pancakes – for the morning, because why not?!  Find this {egg, dairy & soy-free} delicious recipe here.  Be sure to pick up your Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips at Whole Foods too!
– Turkey (of course!) – Check out the selections {we’re going with an Organic one} and order yours in-store or online from Whole Foods today!
– Green Beans & Almonds – Simple, yet very delicious.  Since almonds are a new safe food for us I decided to add them into our green beans this year.
– Homemade Creamed Corn – I’ve got some frozen corn from the summer waiting to thaw out to make this bad boy, cannot wait!
– Homemade {egg-free} Stuffing – I haven’t narrowed down my recipe for this yet, so if you’ve got one, please share!
– Mini Apple Pies – I’m going to be attempting these tomorrow, so come back next week to check out how they turned out… and gonna pair them with some homemade dairy-free ice cream – grab that recipe here.
– Sea Salted Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies – Check out the delicious {egg & soy-free} recipe here.

I’m also adding cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes (for my husband and daughter – I’m not a big fan,) and a side salad.  I’ll be making a trip to Whole Foods Market North Wales a couple days before Thanksgiving to get the freshest fruit & veggies for these dishes and the stuffing.

If you are short on time then let Whole Foods do the cooking for you.  They have some wonderful meals and dishes to choose from!  You can order complete meals, like this one that serves 6-8 people, or order just the sides.  They even have some beautiful flower centerpieces which would look great on your table or as a perfect thank you gift for your host!

What’s on your menu this year?  What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

My favorite dish on Thanksgiving is actually a dessert. I love pumpkin pie, gluten free and allergy friendly of course.

I like the side dishes best. This is the first year that we were cleared for almonds, so I’m excited about making green beans and almonds. I think I’ll try your pancakes, too; they sound great! Thanks for the giveaway! 🙂

Love everything about Thanksgiving! It’s not just about the meal or which part of the meal I like best, it’s about the 4-day weekend and being able to relax and catch up with friends and family.

Cranberry sauce, from a can. If you know me at all, you will know how weird that is. At least whole foods has one with reasonable ingredients. Love my whole foods!
