allergy-friendly Valentine Sweets for Your Sweets – Strawberry Banana Dairy-Free ice cream or milkshake

Today is the fourth day of allergy-friendly Valentine Sweets for Your Sweets, where I will be sharing a new sweet recipe each day until Valentine’s Day!  

Today I am sharing a simple dairy-free ice cream or milkshake recipe with you.  This is one of my families go-to sweet treats and with only three ingredients and no added sugar I don’t mind making this one weekly!

First up is the ice cream, this is made with the following:

  1. 2 frozen bananas
  2. 6 large frozen strawberries 
  3. 1/2 cup (your safe) dairy/dairy-free milk

Blend all three ingredients in a blender or Vitamix for about 3 minutes and tada ~ delicious ice cream!

Add sprinkles if you’d like, but as we all know everything tastes better with sprinkles! 

Using the same three ingredients, the milkshake is made with a slight increase in the milk.

  1. 2 frozen bananas
  2. 6 large frozen strawberries 
  3. 3/4 cup – 1 cup (your safe) dairy/dairy-free milk  (add more or less depending on how think you want your milkshake to be)

This is another simple recipe that is super tasty.  I love how easy it is to remember and with no added sugar I don’t feel bad having this treat weekly!

You can chose to top with or without whipped cream (dairy-free options do exist such as coconut whipped cream and rice whipped cream.)  We also love to add some mini Enjoy Life Foods chocolate chips atop!
